Reporting Your Vehicle As Stolen:
Before reporting your vehicle as stolen, make sure that the vehicle is not in use by another family member or friend. Check that it has not been repossessed. The Police will check to see if the vehicle has been towed when you call to report it stolen.

Call police at 986-6246 to make a report.

Provide as much of the following information:

  • Where the vehicle was last seen
  • Year Make and Model
  • Licence plate number and province
  • Colour
  • Value
  • Any items of value that were in the vehicle

After reporting the theft to Police, notify Manitoba Public Insurance (MPI) at 985-7000.

 

Reporting a Stolen Vehicle Sighting:
If you know the whereabouts of a vehicle you think is stolen, contact the Police as soon as possible at the numbers below.

If the vehicle is being driven, Call 911. Do NOT attempt to stop the vehicle or have any contact with the person(s) inside it.

If the vehicle is parked, call 986-6222.

Please provide the following information:

  • Licence Plate Number
  • Description of the vehicle
  • Description of thieves (if applicable)
  • Location
