Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from CFCA

Please remember that although many will be celebrating, others will be continuing their Criminal Activities during this period.

Take time to review your Crime Prevention Handbook or other portions of our Website for tips and suggestions to lessen your chance of being a victim of Crime over the Holiday time.

As with many times of increased activities around Shopping Centres, please be aware that many vehicles are being broken into for theft of items left in plain view. Many times it is just for a few loose coins, sunglasses, or a CD or two.

Sometimes a garage door opener and vehicle owner address from information left in the glovebox are taken to use later.

The value of items taken is minor compared to the cost of repairs for a broken window or pried lock or door. This doesn't even account for all the inconvenience involved in arranging repairs.

You be the judge - is it easier to keep things out of sight or deal with the possible result?

Many people have said...If only I...after the damage is done.

Further to the garage door remote being taken; many times these are used to enter a garage and/or home. At this point, while you are shopping or at Church, thieves are making off with your possesions.

In a number of cases it is a very large amount of goods being taken without any neighbour seeing or being aware of what is going on.

In some cases, thieves return for more goods.
