Where you live, work or visit can pose specific and differing safety risks. This is due to the different levels of control you may have over your surroundings, or who else may be there with you. Practicing safety in these places does not mean that you have to be in complete control, but rather that you be aware of certain features, services and risks that exist. These are discussed in the pages that follow, in Safety Issues at Home, at Work, on the Street, and while Traveling.
